The
Equestrian Centre adds an additional dimension of fun and activity to the
school experience. The well qualified, dedicated staff, together with a wide
range of horses and ponies, means that Howell's School Equestrian Centre (HSEC)
is able to cater for all ages and all levels of equestrian ability. Riding
lessons and stable management sessions can be arranged at all times of the day
and evening, including weekends and holidays. HSEC is open to members of the
public by prior arrangement.
HSEC
is a Pony Club Centre, enabling pupils to access all the benefits offered by
the Pony Club, including achievement badges, progressive awards and tests.
Pupils and members of the public can also train towards British Horse Society
and National Vocational Qualifications through a series of short courses or
individual lessons.
The
facilities include two 20m x 40m outdoor arenas, one of which is fully
floodlit, a large jumping field, an exercise track and cross country fences.
These facilities are available for hire for personal or competition use.
Above
all, the staff at HSEC aim to develop that special relationship between horse
and rider through sympathetic and personalised coaching.
