Sarah Hamlyn - Chief
Instructor and Consultant to the Equestrian Centre
Sarah
has an MSc in Equine Studies (Aberystwyth) and a BSc (Hons) in Animal
Production Science (Edinburgh) as well as being a BHS Stable Manager and
Intermediate Instructor. She is also a Pony Club examiner, an NVQ External
Verifier for the Racing Industry and an Ofsted associate inspector.
Sarah
owns 2 horses, two dogs and 4 cats. Silver Shadow (Shady) is an 9 year old 16hh
grey gelding. He is Irish Draught cross thoroughbred and loves to hunt. Kate is
a 5 year old 17hh bay mare, with an eventing career in front of her!
Sarah
is also the author of many equestrian books, with a particular interest in
equine nutrition and exercise physiology.
Wendy
Gerrard - Yard Manager & Instructor
Wendy is a British Horse Society (BHS) Assistant
Instructor and has 10 years experience of teaching adults and children of all
abilities. She has also had the pleasure of working with the Riding for
Disabled Association as an assistant coach for the North West equestrian team
for the Special Olympics in Portsmouth.
Wendy
owns 4 horses and enjoys competing in
both show jumping and dressage. Her horses are; Willomena (Willow) a 17.2hh
Irish Draught cross thoroughbred bay mare, Bertie a 16.1hh Irish Draught cross
thoroughbred chestnut gelding, Copper a 15.2hh thoroughbred bay mare and
finally Lily a 15.2hh grey mare who now is on loan to Howell's Equestrian Centre.
