The concepts of chronology, continuity and change, cause and effect, and similarity and difference introduced at Foundation Stage are further developed in Middles. By Transition the subject is generally being taught chronologically within the context of topics, to develop a sense of the passage of time. Children are always encouraged to bring to school any artefacts, photographs or books which might be of interest regarding a particular history topic. There are visits to places of historical interest and we draw on our rich local history.
