The Prep School held a specially Chinese themed programme of activities with arts and crafts including making masks, cards, Chinese symbols and a Chinese meal for lunch. Academic Principal Emma Jones said: “Celebrating the Chinese New Year has become part of the calendar here at Howells and with this being the Year of the Dragon there is a special affinity between China and Wales. “We do also draw many pupils from the Far East and from Hong Kong and Singapore in particular so it is a special time for us here at Howells. “We also believe in letting the girls experience as many different cultures as we can as part of their learning experience here” |
