Pony sleep over fun and games |
The first pony sleepover was tremendous with all of the girls having oodles of fun. The evening started with arriving at the Equestrian Centre. Bags were hastily left in the portacabin whilst the final yard duties for the day were carried out and all of the horses were turned out for the night. Then off to tea we went with suit cases in toe.
After tea we went to St Patrick's where the girls were dumb struck with the large plasma screen and Wii that had recently been installed. All put dibs on bunks, then it was off outside back up to the Equestrian Centre for some on foot gymkhana games. Sian kindly offered to be the time keeper so that left Sarah Hickman having to take part in the games! Although to be honest she was not the slowest over the jumps! All exhausted we walked back to St Patrick's to don our pjs and let the wii dance competition begin. Lucy Jones seemed to be an expert, along with Kate Wordsworth who liked the song "Who let the dogs out"! After we had danced all songs at least twice we chose to watch Black Beauty on dvd, so out came the sweets and hankies. All were finally tucked up and I think we all got at least some sleep! Next morning saw rain, but that did not seem to dampen the day. Breakfast was cereal followed by huge amounts of toast and one pot of chocolate spread was devoured. Then back off to the Equestrian Centre for the morning chores and the fun part - a riding lesson. Everyone was exhausted, but it had been loads of fun. There are two more pony sleep overs planned for the summer and more details of these can be downloaded from the website.
