Enrichment activities are those school organised activities which
take place outside the timetabled curriculum; during lunch break or after
school between 4pm - 5pm . They are staff-led and campus based and generally
provided at no additional cost.
The enrichment timetable is
changed each term to ensure that we can take advantage of the weather as it
improves and to allow for as wide a range of activities as possible. Rehearsals
for school productions are held during enrichment and also some sports training
and fixtures. During the summer term GCSE revision classes may be held during
enrichment time.
There are, in addition, fee based extra-curricular activities with
specialist staff (individual music, dance, drama, tennis and riding lessons) which
can be taken during enrichment.
Activities end at 5.00pm for Boarders tea and to allow day
students to organise themselves for buses at 5.15pm. Students are expected to
participate in 2-3 activities per week, on those days when they do not
participate then they are expected to use the time for homework assignments
(unless able to make their own way home).
Further
activities are scheduled during the weekday evenings and weekends for Boarders. Download the latest timetable here.
