The aim of the department is to encourage in all Howell's students a lively appreciation of Drama . Its relevance is cross-curricular; Drama develops confidence by creating a different, or further, opportunity to achieve. It encourages teamwork and interaction and can be a powerful unifying force. It is challenging, develops imagination, self-understanding and empathy, providing an alternative form of communicating ideas and feelings. Often it requires courage. 

Drama at Howell's has developed rapidly over the last few years; we aim to involve all students and drama is available as a curriculum subject and an extra-curricular activity.
