Our aim is to enable each child to experience their personal best in all areas. The children are taught a broad and balanced curriculum that is based upon, but goes beyond, the National Curriculum. The majority of pupils will progress, without forcing, at a faster pace than that indicated by National Curriculum Attainment Targets. English, Mathematics, Science and ICT are Foundation Subjects and accorded top priority. In addition to these French, Geography, History, RE, Citizenship, PE, Art and Design, Drama and Music are taught in all years. Teaching is carried out by a mixture of form and specialist subject teachers which means that in Years 5 and 6 in particular children become accustomed to moving around the school for lessons. |
