 The
preparatory school "boarding family" is a small, self contained unit
within St Georges' House, our junior house for Year 7-10 girls.
A warm
and cosy environment exists for our prep boarders, girls from age 7.
St.David's, their home, is a discrete unit with it's own dormitory, common
room, kitchen and toilet facilities. However, the girls are also able to enjoy
the wider facilities of the junior boarding house, under the careful guidance
of their housemistress.
The
St.David's girls are brought to and collected from the Prep School every day by
a staff member. They have breakfast and supper in house,so enhancing the
informality and family atmosphere. There are many activities available for them
each evening and at weekends both within the House and, especially at weekends,
within our locality.
Life for
our young boarders is great fun and they are frequently invited for
"sleepovers" with their friends (with agreement from both sets of
parents!) so teddies and sleepover bags often accompany St David's girls to
school - especially on Friday mornings!
