Prospective students are
required to sit internally set assessment papers in English, Mathematics, Science and Verbal Reasoning .
Howell's is not a highly selective school academically, we pride ourselves on
our ability to develop potential. The main purpose of the assessments is to
establish an initial entry level and to set appropriate targets for the
individual child. Candidates are observed during the course of the day and no
formal interview is generally required.
Students joining us from the Preparatory
School are not required to take the assessment papers unless they are applying
for scholarships.
Registration forms completed
form the basis for the contract between the school and parent, subject to
suitable references being received from the sending school. A deposit secures the place and
specific arrangements for joining the school will be advised and a Joiners Pack
provided.
